Erster Eindruck: Wolken!
Our first impression: Clouds! After four months of almost constant danger of sunburn and heat stroke, this is a delight. Only we need to stock up on long sleeve clothes now because our t-shirts and shorts won't get us very far...

Dublins quirlige Innenstadt reißt uns wirklich vom Hocker!
We are blown away by Dublin's lively Downtown area!

Now that we posess a few more longsleeve items we are ready to explore this island!

We cross the Liffey river several times on some of its many bridges.
Temple Bar is just packed with bars, pubs and restaurants. Fate leads us here just before we get hungry…

What we learned today: Every day is a day to go out. And beer is served at any time, day and night. Live music is essential for Irish people. Living in this country is really expensive due to a VAT of 23% on everything. On the other hand, child benefits are high enough to allow many women to stay at home with their children. There's been a serious housing shortage because of the economic boom in the last few years, so you can see a lot of cheaply and quickly made buildings sprouting everywhere. Dubliners paint their front doors in all colours - the reason why is disputed.
